RetailDesk is operated by Heretics Software, a trading name of Heretics Mounts, based in Australia. We provide competitive intelligence software for online retailers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

We collect the following information when you use RetailDesk: • Account information: your name, email address, and password (or OAuth token if you sign in with Google). • Billing information: handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We never store your card details. • Store connection data: your Shopify or WooCommerce store URL and API access tokens, used solely to push product drafts on your behalf. • Analytics data: aggregate traffic and engagement metrics from your connected Google Analytics account. We do not access individual visitor data. • Usage data: pages visited within RetailDesk, features used, and error logs — used to improve the product.

RetailDesk does not collect, access, or store: • Your customers' names, email addresses, or contact details. • Individual order or transaction records. • Payment card numbers or bank account details. • Any personal data about your end customers beyond what is strictly necessary to deliver the service.

We use your information to: • Provide, operate, and improve the RetailDesk service. • Send transactional emails (price alerts, reports, account notifications). • Respond to support requests. • Comply with legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored on servers located in Australia and the United States via Supabase (database) and DigitalOcean (application hosting). We implement industry standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

RetailDesk integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies: • Supabase — authentication and database storage • Stripe — payment processing • Shopify — store integration (if connected) • WooCommerce — store integration (if connected) • Google Analytics — store analytics (if connected) We only share the minimum data necessary for these integrations to function.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to: • Access the personal information we hold about you. • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. • Request deletion of your account and associated data. • Opt out of non essential communications at any time. RetailDesk uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to use the service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use of RetailDesk after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
